Main Research Interests

My main research interests are micromorphology and phytochemistry of Portuguese and Macaronesian flora. Plant secretory structures, secondary metabolites and biological activities. Aquatic plants, morphology and development. 

 

Academic Qualifications

- 1999 PhD in Biology - Ecology and Biosystematics (Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon).

- 1981 5-year college graduation in Biology (Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon)
