Main Research Interests
I am mainly interested in forensic anthropology and in the epidemiology of human growth, with an emphasis on bioculturality and human variation. In the forensic context my research focuses on methods of human identification from the skeleton, particularly in the immature skeleton, and skeletal trauma analysis. In human growth research, I am interested in the skeletal biology of past populations through reconstruction of growth patterns, and in health of modern populations, namely in the impact of socioeconomic inequalities, poverty and social, economic and political changes on growth and development of children.
