Main Research Interests

My main research interest is the interplay between signaling pathways (mainly PI3K / Akt) during early myogenesis in the mouse (Mus musculus) embryo and the developmental and physiological cues provided by the surrounding extracellular matrix components.

Academic Qualifications

- 2008 -Masters in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.
- 2005 – Licenciatura in Biology (5 year degree), Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.
