Main Research Interests

Phylogeography and historical demography of avian populations, particularly of ocean-bound Procellariiformes; Interaction of micro-evolutionary forces such as migration and selection and their impact on levels of genetic variation and adaptation of natural populations; Molecular evolution of multigene families, such as Major Histocompatibility and Olfactory Receptor families; Evolutionary trade-offs in life-history traits of avian species;
